Lestro Ledinek is a global company with more than 55 years of tradition in the woodworking industry. It specializes in the production of technologically demanding machine parts and components for the assembly of woodworking machines and lines. With its knowledge and experience, it contributes to the development of effective solutions for the wood-processing industry, emphasizing innovation, quality and sustainable development. Their products are appreciated both in domestic and international markets, where they cooperate with many partners and customers.
The challenge
Lestro Ledinek was faced with the need to increase the connection capacity of the intake due to the expansion of its production capacity. This would require significant investments in upgrading the electricity infrastructure with high investment costs and a longer turnaround time. The existing consumption profile did not allow efficient use of peak electricity in the new grid system, which in the long term would be reflected in the additional costs of electricity supply and financial burdens for the company. In addition, fluctuations in electricity prices, which have become extremely high and unpredictable in recent years, have had a negative impact on operating costs and reduced the company's competitiveness. The company wanted to ensure better stability of electricity supply and reduce dependence on external energy sources in order to improve its competitive position in the market and reduce operating costs in the long term. The aim was to install a flexible and flexible energy plant that is financially efficient and sustainable and allows for greater energy independence using advanced technologies.
Solution
The solar power plant with a nominal capacity of 97.2 kWp and the Tesvolt TS HV 80 E electricity storage unit with a capacity of 50 kW and a capacity of 80 kWh enabled the company to optimise its electricity consumption. Both systems are integrated into the innovative TESVOLT Energy Management System (TEM), which enables precise control and efficient management of energy flows, ensuring stability and increased energy efficiency.
Resultados
By building a solar power plant with a nominal capacity of 443.52 kWp and Tesvolt energy storage with a capacity of 150 kW and a capacity of 240 kWh, we have enabled the company to avoid the need to increase the connection capacity. The energy storage provides additional power, which in the long term allows for smooth operation without additional investment in infrastructure for the needs of increasing connection capacity, including investments in a new transformer station and associated equipment, and with lower monthly costs of network fees and contributions.
By implementing this solution, the company achieves a 10% higher level of energy self-sufficiency on an annual basis due to the combination of electricity storage and solar power plant, which guarantees greater efficiency compared to a solar power plant alone. Mainly due to multi-shift work, the company makes better use of the electricity produced, which further contributes to reducing dependence on fluctuations in electricity prices. The system uses advanced features such as “time-of-use”, “peak shaving” and “self-consumption optimization” enabled by Tesvolt Energy Manager in multi-use applications. These features enable an optimal energy use strategy and maximize savings. The project is a clear example of how the combination of solar power plant and energy storage ensures stable supply, lower costs and contributes to the green transition of the company. The solution allows better control of energy consumption and reduces the impact of fluctuations in market electricity prices, providing the company with a competitive advantage in the long term.
Emphasis
Companies with high energy needs, facing the challenges of increasing connection capacity and rising electricity costs, can use this solution to reduce the cost of upgrading existing electricity infrastructure, increase energy independence and stability, and reduce exposure to fluctuations in electricity market prices.
I am proud of the exemplary cooperation with Lestra Ledinek, which led to the successful implementation of the energy independence project of the company. By installing a Tesvolt solar power plant and storage unit, we have ensured greater stability and savings, while reducing dependence on fluctuating electricity prices. The advanced features of the system allow optimal use of energy, which contributes to the sustainable competitiveness of the company. We are pleased that this project is an important step towards a green and stable future for Lestro Ledinek.
