Backgrounders
The company Zlatorog oprema was looking for an optimal solution to reduce energy costs and increase self-sufficiency. They considered putting a solar power plant on the roof to reduce dependence on external energy sources, but faced the restriction that the solar power plant only provides energy during the day and in sunny weather. This meant that during periods without sunlight or with increased energy consumption, we would still have to buy electricity. In addition, lower purchase prices for energy surpluses in times of high production reduced the economic viability of their investment in solar energy, leading to the consideration of limiting production in certain periods.
Requirements for the electricity storage tank:
- Fast reaction time of the tip cutting system;
- Stable operation of the system with good support from the manufacturer;
- Reliable and user-friendly Energy Management Application (EMS) user interface.
Solution
We have reduced the company's connecting power to 43 kW. That is, the draw from the network does not exceed 43 kW, and the power difference above this limit is provided by the battery saver. Through a detailed analysis of the 15-minute readings of the annual consumption profile, we determined the optimal 90.24 kWp solar power plant with storage tank TS HV 30 E 30 kW/32kWh, which provides the company with sufficient production, power and capacity to optimize self-consumption and all spikes above 43 kW are cut.
Advantages
Zlatorog Equipment will benefit from a number of advantages with reduced connection power and tip cutting, which will affect the annual cost of electricity. This will decrease by more than 70%, mainly due to the high level of self-sufficiency. In addition, the company will also save on network costs, since the billing power will be below 43 kW. This will avoid the high prices that are predicted precisely from the title of the new network system after 1.7.2024. In addition, the company will also save by reducing the contribution cost for SPTE RES and by eliminating the cost of reactive energy.By introducing the solution, Zlatorog Equipment will improve its financial performance, enforce a sustainable commitment and increase its competitiveness in the market.
Optimized self-consumption
More than 55% self-sufficiency of Zlatorog oprema d.o.o. will ensure a stable and low cost of electricity for the future in the long term, and the investment itself will pay off within 5 years. In particular, at the expense of the costs of the energy input determined by the electricity supplier and the costs of the network part of the energy input determined by the distribution system operator.
The key to our success is always a satisfied customer. Our professional team tries to keep up with the changes and in this way tries to find the most optimal solutions for each individual client. I am very glad that we have once again demonstrated the level of professionalism and knowledge.
