Demago Print, founded in 2008, is engaged in digital printing of small and medium-sized commercial prints, publications, packaging and self-adhesive labels. With the constant development of a widerassortment of products and finishes of printed materials, focusing on the quality of materials. With modern equipment, it provides quality solutions for companiesandpublishers, offers a wide selection of services in one place and helps its customerssave time and money.
The challenge
Demago d.o.o. faced a number of challenges in the design of a solar power plant and an electricity storage facility, which required thoughtful and strategic planning. The key challenge was limited plugging due to the new energy-consuming printing machine, which significantly increased electricity consumption. The company had to meticulously plan the use of electricity and optimize the entire production process in order to ensure the smooth operation of the devices without exceeding the available connection power.
In addition, the adaptive grid system, which requires greater flexibility and as high energy efficiency as possible, required the introduction of several time blocks within a day. Thisrequires careful monitoring of energy consumption and the introduction of new strategiesfor more efficient use of productive resources and electricity storage formaximum exploitation.
The low prices of surplus electricity from solar power plants posed an additional challenge. Although solar power is a significant step towards reducing the company's carbon footprint and achieving sustainability goals, the low purchase prices of surpluses required an innovative solution. The solution is to sell surpluses to the superdynamic electricity market in combination with solar power plants to store electricity, which makes it possible to achieve better wholesale prices.
Solution
The solar power plant with a nominal capacity of 97.2 kWp and the Tesvolt TS HV 80 E electricity storage unit with a capacity of 50 kW and a capacity of 80 kWh enabled the company to optimise its electricity consumption. Both systems are integrated into the innovative TESVOLT Energy Management System (TEM), which allows precise control and efficient management of energy flows, ensuring stability and increased energy efficiency.
Resultados
With a solar power plant with a nominal capacity of 97.2 kWp and the Tesvolt TS HV 80 E electricity storage unit with a capacity of 50 kW and a capacity of 80 kWh, the company has been designed to effectively reduce electricity consumption peaks, allowing the company to keep consumption below the allowedgrid power.S This avoids the high costs of upgrading the internet electricity infrastructure and higher network costs, which entail significant financial costs.
The combination of solar power plant and energy storage contributes to a more than 10% increase in energy self-sufficiency on an annual level. The storage tank allows the storage of excess energy produced throughout the solar cycle for later use when the production from the solar power plant does not meet the needs of the facility. This solution ensures a stable and reliable supply of energyand reduces dependence on price fluctuations in the energy market.
In addition, we have optimized the sale of surpluselectricenergy, which the company is now marketing in a dynamic market. With the help of the user, we adjust the time of sending surpluses to the network to periods when the purchase price is higher, which further increases the economic efficiency of the entire system. The system uses advanced features such as “time-of-use,” “peak shaving” and “self-consumption optimization,” which make Tesvolt Energy Manager a multipurpose application. These features provide an optimal energy management strategy, maximise savings andcontribute to the sustainable operation of the company.
Integrated solutions not only enable the company to lower costs and increase energy efficiency, but also contribute to greentransformation and sustainability, which are of key importance for modern uncompetitive business.
Emphasis
Selling points at hourly prices in a dynamicmarket allows the company to achieve higher purchase prices with electricity storage. The emission of excess energy from the grid is adjusted to periods with higher purchase prices. This strategy, supported by the advanced features of TesVolt, maximizes savings.
